My 90-Day Run: Being exactly who I said I would be

My 90-Day Run: Being exactly who I said I would be

I’ve decided to do something different this time.

Not another “new me” announcement. Not another list of things I’m going to start on Monday. Not another temporary burst of motivation that disappears when life gets complicated.

I’m giving myself 90 days.

Starting September 1, I’m going on a 90-day run through November 29.

And this isn’t just about losing weight or sticking to a budget.

It’s about continuing my life of alignment.

I’m at a point in my life where I have to develop a new version of myself. I may not know exactly what my life will look like a year from now, but I know I need a reset to help launch me into my new life.

So for the next 90 days, I’m choosing discipline over motivation.

Why 90 Days?

Because that’s what my people do. When we need a reset, we go on a 90 day run. Some do 75 hard, others do 31 modified, we do 90 day runs.

Ninety days is long enough to see results, but short enough to keep me focused.

I don’t need to figure out the rest of my life right now.

I just need to take care of the next 90 days.

My goal isn’t perfection. My goal is proof.

Proof that I can make a commitment to myself and keep it.

Proof that I can put myself back at the top of my priority list.

Proof that I can make progress without needing everything around me to be perfect first.

This Is About My Whole Life

My 90-day run is going to touch every area of my life.

My Body

I want to get stronger.

I want to move more consistently. I want to take better care of myself and become more intentional about what I’m putting into my body.

Yes, I have physical goals.

But I don’t want the scale to be the only evidence that I’m changing.

I want to be able to look back and say, I became stronger. I became more disciplined. I started taking care of myself differently.

My Money

After all, this is Budgeting Backwards.

I want these 90 days to be a financial reset, too.

I’m going to track my spending, be intentional about saving, avoid unnecessary purchases and make decisions based on the future I’m trying to build, not just what I want in the moment.

I’ve spent enough time figuring out how to survive financially.

Now I want to become more intentional about building.

My Business

I’ve talked about bringing Budgeting Backwards back for a long time.

Now I’m doing it.

I’m going to create. I’m going to post. I’m going to write. I’m going to execute my ideas instead of constantly thinking about developing ideas.

I don’t need everything to be perfect.

I just need to start putting the work behind the vision.

My Home

I’m also looking at my physical environment.

What am I holding onto that I don’t need anymore?

What clutter needs to go?

What spaces need to be organized?

What would make my home feel more peaceful?

Sometimes we talk about wanting a new life while still surrounding ourselves with things that belong to an old one.

I’m ready to clean house, literally and figuratively.

And Then There’s Me

This may be the hardest part.

For the next 90 days, I’m practicing choosing myself without feeling guilty about it.

I’m learning that boundaries aren’t punishment.

I’m learning that saying no doesn’t make me mean.

I’m learning that I don’t have to chase people for love, attention, consideration or consistency.

I’m learning that sometimes the biggest financial, physical and emotional reset starts with simply deciding: I’m not doing this anymore.

My Rules

I’m not setting myself up for failure by pretending life won’t happen.

There will be birthdays.

There will be restaurants.

There will be bad days.

There will be days when I don’t feel like working out.

There will be days when I’m tired.

There will probably be days when I eat something that wasn’t on the plan.

That’s life.

So I’m not doing an all-or-nothing challenge.

I’m doing a consistency challenge.

My biggest rule is simple:

I don’t have to be perfect. I just have to keep going.

If I mess up Monday, I don’t wait until next Monday to restart.

If I have a bad week, I don’t throw away the entire month.

I pick myself back up and continue.

What I Want at the End of These 90 Days

I want to look different.

I want to feel different.

I want my bank account to look different.

I want my home to feel different.

I want my business to have momentum.

I want my relationship with myself to be different.

But more than anything, I want to trust myself again.

Because there’s something powerful about becoming a woman who keeps her promises to herself.

That’s what I’m really chasing.

Not perfection.

Not a smaller body.

Not a perfect life.

Self-trust.
